Fuelling the Dragon Ride Gran Fondo
Diary entry #5 - A Journey of Endurance and Breathtaking Scenery
Embarking on the Dragon Ride Gran Fondo, a gruelling 215km challenge, I quickly realised it was more than just a cycling feat—it was an eating endurance test too. With the power of my LinkedIn community, I harnessed the collective knowledge of like-minded cycling enthusiasts to ride through my pain threshold.

I want to thank those who shared their insights. I found solace in the collective wisdom that guided my journey. Your expertise and experiences were crucial in my quest for optimal performance.
A Perfectly Orchestrated Event: From flawless PR and Email campaigns to impeccable event organisation, the Dragon Ride exemplified excellence. The PR and Email campaigns were perfectly coordinated to reassure every rider of every possible detail imaginable.
The route: The well-planned route meandered through the enchanting Welsh countryside, treating me to breathtaking vistas that seemed plucked from picture-perfect postcards.
Beauty and Challenge Unite: As I rolled over the Welsh undulating roads, the countryside unveiled its mesmerising beauty. The challenging terrain pushed my limits, yet it remained within the realm of sanity. With minimal traffic and a meticulously curated route, every kilometre revealed the hidden gems of the Welsh remarkable landscape.
Completing the Dragon Ride Gran Fondo in 7 hours and 35 minutes was a triumph that surpassed mere physical accomplishment. It was a journey of mental perseverance and the realisation that fueling and the right products are as crucial as the ride itself.
During the Gran Fondo, I was wearing Ciovita cycling kit, which I will review in the near future.
